Demonstrations of various activities that would have been common during medieval times will be taking place from 1:15 pm until 2:15 pm. We hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity and visit many of them.. Here is what we have confirmed so far -- more coming we hope:

Glass Bead Making with Eirny Thorvaldsdottir - come learn what type of beads your persona would have worn. Beads will be made. Resources for purchasing materials and research will be available for viewing.

Bread Baking Onsite with Wulfric of Creigull - help mix, knead, bake (and eat) fresh bread.

Spinning with Cylynnen Cigfran - come learn how this simple and effective technique was done. Everyone is welcome to bring any spinning supplies that they have and come join the Spinning Circle.

Spinning and Weaving Period Patterns with Gisela Kalais and other ladies - come see how to spin yarn and weave period trim and belt patterns on cards, inkle, or other small loom

Make a Coin with Dubhall Monetarius - come see how coins were made from cutting the die to stamping the coin.

Shoemaking with Geoffrey Mathias - every major village had a shoemaker or was serviced by a travelling shoemaker. Come see how this clothing essential was contructed and how you too can make shoes.

Pottery Making with Mercy the Potter - come learn all the steps to making a simple pot, plate, or flagon.

Fletching Arrows with Ariel Ebbon - come learn the art of arrow fletching. Ever wonder what happened to all the worn feathers on arrows, now you will see how the arrows are refurbished.

Side Sword /Rapier with Don Coronado - The demo will be of Side Sword, a historic technique not usually permitted in SCA Rapier combat. It and other techniques will be demonstrated. So if you wanted to learn more about this other weapons sport that is growing in popularity in the SCA and was so much a part of historic combat. Come by the Rapier Field.
